*A wind rating is given to this cantilever umbrella to give you a guide on the structural strength of your shade structure.   The process of wind testing involves securely anchoring the umbrella.  Then testing the umbrella in a wind tunnel with a consistent, even wind.  It is not suggested to leave this umbrella open in winds up to 40km/h.  Natural windy conditions are unpredictable and gusty – not controlled and consistent like the wind tunnel it is tested in.  The wind test is to give you peace of mind as to the structural strength of this umbrella.  Do not put your umbrella to the test.  All cantilever umbrellas should be collapsed in breezy conditions. Wind damage is NOT covered by warranty.

• Do not leave umbrella open when unattended and make sure it’s closed in windy or adverse weather conditions.
• Do not tilt umbrella in windy or adverse weather conditions.
• Hose down the frame with fresh water periodically, more frequently if you live in a salty or an industrial environment.
• Regularly dust the umbrella canopy so that dust and debris are not allowed to sit on the fabric for extended periods. After dusting hose down the canopy and allow to stay open until it is dry.
• Make sure umbrella is dry and clean prior to storing away for extended periods of time.
• We recommend using a protective umbrella cover to help keep the canopy clean and dry when not in use, helping to extend its lifespan.

• 1 Year Frame / 3 Year Canopy

The Solstice umbrella comes complete with both a cross bar base and a bolt down plate, giving you multiple installation methods:

• Use the bolt down plate to permanently secure to concrete or decking (bolts not included); or
• Use the cross base for portable stability (If using this installation option you will also need a minimum of 4 x 25kg concrete ballast weights (can be purchased separately)
• Cantilever umbrella base with wheels Deluxe – Water/Sand fillable. This is an optional purchase if the provided installation options are not suitable.
