Returns Policy

It is our endeavour to ensure that our website contains detailed information about every product, including measurements and other technical information.  Throughout our website we aim to educate our customers about umbrellas and the various decisions that need to be made to ensure you purchase the correct product.  With this goal in mind there is several opportunities to view important questions you should ask yourself before purchasing any umbrella or umbrella accessory.  We also have an Umbrella Fellas video, narrated by an Umbrella Fella.  This video was produced to effectively inform and engage our customers about the key points they should consider before purchasing an umbrella.  Just prior to making your purchase, to ensure we have done our best to educate you, we ensure that all customers agree that they have read and viewed this informative material, and/or spoken to an Umbrella Fella, to ensure their purchase is the correct one.

Your satisfaction and experience purchasing from our website is paramount.  Please choose carefully and read our Returns Policy.

BELOW ARE COMMON REASONS CUSTOMERS WISH TO RETURN PURCHASES.  SEE BELOW OUR POLICY AND HOW WE HANDLE THESE REASONS

You changed your mind

We do not accept returns for change of mind.  Please choose carefully.  Returns are accepted for genuine faults, and in these instances we reserve the right to offer repair or replacement.

It doesn’t fit

We go to every length to ensure that all product information is provided, including all measurements and technical information.  Please ensure you have measured the area you are placing your chosen umbrella in.   If unsure, please call the Umbrella Fellas to seek advice.  We do not accept returns for this reason. 

Colour’s not right

We understand that it can be difficult deciding on colour.  However, it is an important decision, and we encourage you to take the time to decide.  Our colours are clearly represented and described to give you the best opportunity to be able to visualise your umbrella colour decision.   We do not accept returns for this reason.

The item arrived damaged

All our packages are inspected prior to dispatch, and we will not send out a damaged carton or package.  If a carton is damaged upon arrival, please photograph this prior to unwrapping/opening. Please also, point this out to the driver of the delivery vehicle and note it on the paperwork prior to them leaving your purchase with you.

If after unpackaging, the item inside is damaged, contact us ASAP.  We will request photos/video be emailed to us at sales@umbrellafellas.com.au.  Once the item/s damage is distinguished, we will arrange collection of the item/s at our expense and promptly organise repair or replacement.  We reserve the right to repair/replace and rectify the problem and not supply a refund in this instance.

  • We must be notified within 2 days of receiving the item that it is damaged.
  • Items should be returned in original packaging.
  • All items are inspected upon return, and we reserve the right to repair, replace or refund.

We sent you the wrong item

Our sincerest apologies for this rare occurrence. We’ll arrange to pick it up at our expense and send you the correct item ASAP.

We will request photos/video be emailed to us at sales@umbrellafellas.com.au.  Once the incorrect item is distinguished, we will arrange collection of the item at our expense and promptly organise repair or replacement, or refund of the item.

Important Points when advising you received the wrong item:

  • We must be notified within 2 days of receiving the item that it is incorrect.
  • Items should be returned in as new condition with original packaging.
  • All items are inspected upon return, and we reserve the right to replace or refund the item.  

The item is faulty/broken upon arrival

This is a very frustrating experience, and your satisfaction is our priority. Contact us ASAP.  We will request photos/video be emailed to us at sales@umbrellafellas.com.au.  Once the item/s fault is distinguished, we will arrange collection of the item/s at our expense and promptly organise repair or replacement.  A refund will not be supplied in this instance.

Important Points when returning faulty/broken items:

  • We must be notified within 2 days of receiving the item that it is faulty/broken.
  • Items should be returned in as new condition with original packaging.
  • All items are inspected upon return, and we reserve the right to repair, replace or refund the item.  

The item is not as described / I received the wrong product

We are very sorry.  This should not happen.  Contact us ASAP.  We will request photos/video be emailed to us at sales@umbrellafellas.com.au.  Once we distinguish what product you received as opposed to what you ordered.  We will arrange collection of the item/s at our expense and promptly organise replacement of the item.

Important Points when returning items for these 2 reasons:

  • We must be notified within 2 days of receiving the item that it is incorrect.
  • Items should be returned in as new condition with original packaging.
  • All items are inspected upon return, and we reserve the right to replace with correct item or refund the item.

  • Items should be returned in as new condition and must be in original packaging.
  • In the event that we provide a Refund
  • Approved refunds will not be physically paid until returns have been inspected and all conditions are met.
  • All items are inspected upon return.
  • In the event that we approve a return for an item for a reason that we do not usually accept returns for.  Please be aware that in these rare circumstances a restocking fee will be charged.  This charge will not be less than 25% of the invoice value of the goods and is dependent upon the circumstances and will be advised once the product is inspected upon return. The restocking fee is attributed to the time involved in checking the item, making the item “as new” again (e.g., re-boxing, the item).
  • If the item or packaging is damaged in some way, we reserve the right to reject returned stock if in our judgement it cannot be resold even with a discount. This includes items which have been used or show signs of wear or damage. 
  • If it’s in a resalable condition, and all packaging as new and intact we will refund you the full price of the item less the restocking fee (not less than 25% of the invoice value of the goods), and less the cost of the initial shipping.
  • The cost of returning the item is at the purchasers expense.
  • No returns are accepted on:-
  • Custom-made items
  • Made-to-order items
  • Custom branded items
  • Ex-demonstration, second-hand, or discounted/damaged stock

This policy does not supersede any rights you are entitled to under legislation.

  • Email us at sales@umbrellafellas.com.au 
  • Once the return has been approved by one of our team, we will provide instructions for return
  • Repack the goods securely in their original packaging
