At Umbrella Fellas we aim to provide the most economical freight options. Due to the fact that we mostly sell large, bulky, cumbersome and heavy products. Accessing economical, reliable freight that most importantly takes good care of the product from our door to yours is extremely challenging.
Due to multiple factors including fuel levies, over-length and over-weight surcharges, remote and rural areas and the same post-code for multiple areas, our freight calculator may not always be accurate. In most cases, if the actual cost to get the goods to you is higher than the freight calculator on the website, we will honour the price. However, in certain circumstances beyond our control the freight calculator can go haywire and in these instances we unfortunately may have to advise that we cannot deliver to you at the advertised price.
We therefore reserve the right not to deliver your order at the advertised rate. In this instance we will always contact you to seek your approval for any additional charge. We will never charge you extra without your permission. In this instance, you will have the option to pay the additional charge, have the order delivered to a different destination such as a near-by freight depot or cancel your order for a full refund.
It is rare, but due to the large variance in the range of products we sell, in some instances some items can only be delivered to the nearest freight depot. The couriers we use will most the time deliver to your door, but in some instances their own policies may restrict them from doing so. If this is the case, we will contact you and work out the best possible scenario that works for both of us. We apologise for this inconvenience however we must work within the constraints of the freight companies who carry out the deliveries.
If you have concerns about a delivery, you are very welcome to contact us prior to your order and we can check and confirm all the details ahead of time.
Umbrella Fellas wants you to receive your purchase in good order. Therefore, we are very selective and only use quality couriers to ensure your product will arrive in as new condition. If we can deliver to your property (instead of the closest freight depot) the delivery will be made to your front door (ground floor only) or loading dock (in the case of multi-storey). Deliveries cannot be made to underground car parks as the trucks cannot negotiate these. Deliveries will usually be made between 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
Most deliveries are based on a single courier/driver unloading the goods immediately adjacent to the delivery vehicle. Because some items are long and heavy you may be asked to assist the driver to unload your items. In most cases a courier driver will be delivering your umbrella, in this scenario they are not our employees and are not required to carry your order to your desired location.

How long will my order take ?
If all items in your order are in stock, your orders will generally leave our warehouse within 3 working days of being placed.
Alternatively, if you have chosen an item that a lead time applies. We will be able to give you an approximate lead time. Please feel free to discuss this with an Umbrella Fella.
Delivery timeframes vary, depending on where you are. Most orders to metropolitan areas will arrive within 2-7 working days, while regional and remote areas will take longer.
Please note, while we do our very best to deliver your order as soon as possible, these delivery timeframes are an estimate only. On a rare occasion, your order may arrive outside of the estimated timeframe.
Help, part of my order didn’t arrive! When will I get it ?
It is unusual for us to not send your whole order together. It is likely that it got split up on the road by the shipping company. Please contact us immediately on the below contact details and we will follow this up. If you are emailing, please provide
- your order number
- the name the order was made in
- your contact phone number
We will usually respond to your email next business day (if not before), but we do ask that you kindly allow up to 24 hours for a response, especially in peak periods.
Authority to Leave
All orders will be shipped with an ‘authority to leave’ (ATL) unless we receive your alternative instructions. You can specify where the courier can place the item such as “leave by the front door” when you place your order either online or over the phone.
Please note, once delivered, we are not liable for any lost orders. You accept full liability for any theft or damage to products that are left unattended at your nominated address.
Our freight companies generally deliver between 9am and 5am, Monday to Friday (except Public Holidays).
Do you deliver to PO Boxes ?
Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to a PO Box. If you do not have an alternative, please contact us and we will find another way!
